Mark Ebner speaks with Johnny Angel Wendell on 1150 Ktlk about Mark's new book, "We Have Your Husband" written with Jayne Garcia Valseca. Mark also chats about his long running war with the Scientology organization, who has harassed him and put him on their "enemies list".

David Love on radio re Narconon

There's an mp3 download link on the site, under the player window.
Direct mp3 link: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/god-di...-rehab-program-christian-survival-stories.mp3
The Narconon segment starts at around 11min25sec in. The echo on the hosts audio settles down by then but most of the callers still have a slight echo on their audio most of the time. Annoying but still quite listenable if a little "spacey". If you take some powerful psych drugs then it will cancel out and appear normal

This week on The Edge, Tom Smith interviews a victim of torture in scientology's sea organization. Drugging, beatings, encouragement of suicide, and emotional trauma are the tools of scientology's Golden Age. Listen Friday, 11 November 2011 and Sunday, 13 November 2011 from 2 - 3 p.m. eastern U.S. time on

I just spoke with Tom Smith of "The Edge".

The interview has been completed and is in the can.

But the airing of the show was preempted for mysterous reasons.

The interview is very powerful and Tom is making every effort to get it broadcasted ASAP.

Stay tuned.

                                                      UPDATE

As far as I understand it, Tom cannot release the audio or parts of it now due to agreements with the radio station.

Tom edited a couple of hours of interview down to about an hour to cover the allotted show time. It is in the second half of the broadcast that we will hear of Scott being beaten, walked to the top floor of the Complex and encouraged to jump twice, almost killed, drugged, you name it.

Although Scott to me seems to be a true believer in LRH "tech", something I am not, I fully support this program for exposing more of the real horrors found within organized scientology, not to mention the nightmare of the introspection rundown (in my opinion the dangerous attempted practice of medicine and psychology by people who at their best are completely incompetent in same not to mention unlicensed).

Whether ones agrees with Scott's views on scientology, the horrors and abuses are real and should be known publicly.

As for The Edge show being "mysteriously" interrupted or stopped, this is hardly the first time. I've been interviewed on The Edge four times, three of them recorded. The second interview and the first recorded was: http://xenutv.wordpress.com/2007/11/09/the-edge/

The interview was live right at the college station in Tampa with Tom. The fourth interview, with Tom in that same room, had both Bruce Hines and myself on the phone being interviewed. About 20 minutes into the interview (coincidently about the time it takes to get to the college station from OSA headquarters in Clearwater) someone pulled the outside fire alarm and ran. Tom had to leave the show in the middle of it.

Curiouser and curiouser said Alice.

Anyway, one way or another I am confident that this program will air and be made freely available on the internet.

Lawrence Wollersheim interviewed on KHOW Radio, February 23..

In follow-up to the interview with Marty Rathbun, Peter Boyle talks to former Scilon Lawrence Wollersheim who won a $9.2 million judgement against the cult.

Lawrence offers some excellent insights and tells it like it is when it comes to Marty Rathbun & Mike Rinder. Independent Scientologists won't be happy with the interview.

The interview with Lawrence begins at 20:30 and ends in mid-sentence at 37:33 (the interview ran past it's time slot and into the following 9:00 show.) Oops!

The Marty Rathbun interview is in the "Marty Rathbun speaks" thread here.

                            Scientology, An American Mafia

Portland radio host Jesse Singer really scored when he had on Mark Bunker and Jefferson Hawkins for two hours this past weekend , discussing all sorts of things happening in the world of Scientology right now.

I could listen to Hawkins and Bunker all day. These are not only two of the more knowledgeable Scientology watchers out there, but each bring a calm and intelligent clarity to the way they make the complexities of the church graspable.

I talked with Bunker after the show to ask him how the documentary is going. He says he's still trying to track down a few important final interviews before he can think about completing his project. If Bunker is trying to get you, give him a call! We all want to see this movie!

Sorry I don't do religions anymore

This is an interesting and entertaining podcast which does not mention Scientology,

but applies to the consumerism of religions in general,

as I listened to this I couldn't help but compare the mindset to that of Scientology and why people stay in Scientology.

The marketing techniques used of her 'second' religion should be somewhat familiar to Scientologists

What she describes is the consumer mentality of religion.

People have needs, and if you chose the right religion/product, your needs will be met.

And it will not only supply your needs, but your identity, too.

In modern America , what you consume = your identity.

It's roughly twelve minutes long and well worth a listen

                      The edge ...U.S.A.

Dr. Hugh Urban - Interview regarding Scientology on The Edge

For your enjoyment and discussion, here is an announcement about the next edition of "The Edge" with Tom Smith which airs this Friday, May 4, 2012 as well as Sunday May 6, 2012:

This week, Tom Smith interviews Dr. Hugh Urban, professor of religious
studies at Ohio State University about his latest book, The Church of
Scientology, A History of a New Religion. Dr. Urban discusses his very
detailed and accurate scholarship of scientology and its founder, L. Ron
    Hubbard.
This interview broadcasts Friday, 4 May and Sunday 6 May from 2:00 -
    3:00 p.m. eastern U.S. time on http://www.hawkradio.com and
http://theedgewithtomsmith.com by clicking on the live stream link on
    those pages.
After the initial broadcast, the podcast will be available for download.

This is a great interview of a man who has done a very in depth study of scientology and its roots.

Hear Doctor Urban discuss some of organized scientology's most notorious actions as well as some of Hubbard's, and scientology's, connections with the occult.

In my opinion Doctor Urban has done some of the best study yet on scientology and he has no agenda but getting at the truth.

I hope you like this interview as much as I did (I think you will)!
