Katie Holmes Took Suri Cruise To Meet All Her Cousins For The First Time

Suri Cruise is finally finding out what it’s like to be part of a big family, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

The 6-year-old spent last weekend with mom Katie Holmes, 33, in Toledo, Ohio and got to meet all of her cousins for the first time!

It’s Katie’s latest attempt to normalize her spoiled daughter’s life and young Suri took to meeting her extended family like a duck to water.

“The purpose of Katie’s trip with Suri to Ohio was to introduce Suri to all her cousins,” a family insider revealed.

“As the youngest of five, Katie loved growing up in a big family, so she wants exactly the same experience for Suri.

“She worries that Suri doesn’t get enough exposure to kids her own age and Katie wants her to be brought up in a similar environment to which she was raised in.

“Tom was very protective over Suri, and liked to keep her close to him, the Church and his family all the time.

“Now he is out of the picture, Katie decided Suri should meet her eight cousins for the first time in an attempt to give her a normal childhood, away from the glitz and glamor she had become accustomed to.

“It’ll take some getting used to for Suri, because she always gets things her own way. At first, she wasn’t thrilled with the idea of sharing some of her toys with her cousins when they all played together.

“But, soon enough, Suri won them all over with her bubbly personality and they can’t wait to have her visit again.

“They’d only ever seen Suri in magazines and in family photos, so they felt extra special to meet a celebrity their own age,” the insider revealed.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Katie has finally moved her belongings out of the $30 million Beverly Hills home she once shared with Tom.

Her possessions were picked up by a moving and storage truck on Wednesday afternoon, and X-17online managed to get the pictures.

The seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom mansion, which also features a movie theater, tennis court and swimming pool is Tom’s to keep after the pair reached a divorce settlement out of court.

And as RadarOnline.com first reported, Suri will start her first day at school in New York with both her famous parents there in tow to give her a big send off to calm her nerves.

“Tom has been filming his latest movie in London but has made plans to be in New York for Suri's first day of school, which will be after Labor Day," a source close to the former couple revealed.

“Tom and Katie have been speaking on the telephone regarding Suri and Katie has been very supportive of Tom wanting to be there when Suri goes to her new school for the first time.”

TomKat is now Tom and Katie once more.

A Manhattan judge has officially signed off on the Tom Cruise and Katie Homes divorce settlement, meaning both are officially single.

Holmes filed for divorce from her hubby of six years in June, catching the "Mission: Impossible" star by surprise. After two weeks of media reports about Holmes' issues with Cruise's Scientology fixation, they announced they'd settled their differences in early July.

The details apparently took a while to hammer out. The agreement - which includes provisions for raising their daughter Suri - was presented to Justice Matthew Cooper on Monday, and he signed off on the deal.

Neither Homes nor Cruise were present for the signing.

The terms of the agreement are confidential, and they'll stay that away - the judge ordered the already-sealed file impounded, meaning it'll be locked in a safe in the basement of 60 Centre Street.

The Church of Scientology, Vanity Fair and an astonishing lawyer's letter

"It is inconceivable (to the entire world) that Mr. Cruise would have difficulty getting a girlfriend," writes a lawyer for the Church.

In its most recent issue, Vanity Fair published a piece by Maureen Orth on the Church of Scientology, which encompassed the relationship between its leader, David Miscavige, and its most famous adherent, Tom Cruise.

The magazine put 32 questions to the Church (and if you think that's a lot, remember the New Yorker asked it 1,000 queries for its mega-long profile of Paul Haggis, "The Apostate").

The questions elicited a furious response, delivered via Jeffrey K. Riffer, of the law firm Elkins Kalt Weintraub Reuben Gartside LLP. The Church has posted the missive on its media response site [PDF].

It is quite unlike any lawyer's letter I have ever seen before. Here are some extracts:...

Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes Divorce Details Leaked: Marriage Was Over 6 Months Before Split

By Radar Staff

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ marriage was irretrievably broken six months prior to the former Dawson’s Creek star filing for divorce, according to court papers exclusively obtained by the National Enquirer.

In the legal documents dated August 17, 2012 and signed by New York State Supreme Court Judge Matthew F. Cooper offers details of the divorce decree, including the specifics of the A-list couple’s custody agreement with 6-year-old daughter Suri have emerged.

The “marital relationship” had “broken down irretrievably for a period of at least six months immediately preceding,” the papers state.

PHOTOS: Tom Cruise And Katie Holmes’ Relationship Through The Years

Tom, 50, and Katie, 33, tied the knot in a lavish wedding in Italy in 2006. However, the legal documents say they officially married “in a civil ceremony” in Los Angeles on November 11, 2006. A prenuptial agreement was acknowledged and signed by Holmes months earlier.

In terms of child support, Tom was ordered to pay $400,000 a year to cover Suri’s “medical, dental, insurance, unreimbursed medical and dental, education, college, extracurricular and camp expenses.”

The total payments, however, won’t eat into Tom’s estimated $250 million fortune – with experts calculating the expense will cost the Mission: Impossible star $4.8 million in total. He only has to pay child support for the next 12 years until Suri turns 18.

And in the highly unlikely event that Tom skips payment? He will be faced with a jail sentence “for a term not to exceed six months.”

By Jen Heger - Radar Assistant Managing Editor

Katie Holmes is enjoying her new life being single since her divorce from Tom Cruise and has no plans on dating anyone anytime soon, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

"Katie is just flourishing in her new life," a source close to the situation tells Radar. "Yes, there have been some dark moments but she was more than ready to embark on the next phase of her life post-Tom Cruise. Katie felt that her professional career suffered because she was married to Tom and that she didn't have the final say in her acting roles. Katie is currently busy preparing for her role in Dead Accounts.

"Katie believes in love and hopes to get remarried one day but has absolutely no plans on dating anytime soon. Katie is devoted to being the best parent possible to Suri [Cruise] and continuing a smooth transition into their new lives together. Katie knows bringing a new man into the situation would only cause more stress for Suri right now and the actress is still recovering from the end of her marriage to Tom."

As previously reported, leaked legal documents dated August 17 and signed by New York State Supreme Court Judge Matthew F. Cooper offer details of the divorce decree, including the specifics of the A-list couple’s custody agreement.

Rumors: Tom Cruise Picks Scientology Over Suri

By Gossip Cop, Wed, October 10, 2012

According to In Touch, the “biggest mystery in Hollywood” is Tom Cruise’s time away from daughter Suri.

The magazine claims the actor’s “prolonged absence” has “insiders and fans alike wonder[ing] what could possibly be keeping him away from her for so long.”

Well, the tab thinks it has the answer: Scientology.

In Touch reports, “According to former Scientologists, the religion’s tenets dictate that when someone leaves the church, remaining family members must ‘disconnect’ from them.”

“The rules would prevent Tom from seeing [Katie Holmes], who would be labeled a ‘suppressive person’ for splitting with Tom in June,” speculates the mag, citing a former Scientologist. “It could also mean disconnecting from his daughter.”

That’s fascinating… except it makes zero sense.

Cruise has seen Suri since his split from Holmes.

In fact, In Touch ran a disgusting cover story back in August showing the actor and his daughter on a trip to Disney World, asking whether Suri was “Forgetting Mommy Already?”

Why hadn’t his Scientology prevented Cruise from “connecting” with his daughter then?

In Touch seems to be on an “abandoned Suri” kick these days, but really, the magazine is just doing what it’s been doing for months — trying to make both Cruise and Holmes look bad, and printing speculation that does not correspond to actual, real-life developments.

Here’s what’s actually happening: Tom Cruise is currently filming All You Need Is Kill in London, and Katie Holmes is raising Suri in New York.

His absence is tied to professional obligations that were set a long time ago.

It has nothing to do with Scientology, and Cruise is not “disconnecting” long-term from his six-year-old daughter.

A rep for the actor tells Gossip Cop the In Touch story is completely “false.”

                                     MIRROR

Is there hope for TomKat? Tom Cruise ready to cut links with Scientology to win back Katie Holmes

The religion has cost the actor two marriages - and he blames Scientology for what has happened, The People can report

When Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ marriage fell apart earlier this year, the actor’s obsession with Scientology was blamed.

It emerged Katie, 33, feared their six-year-old daughter Suri would become too involved in the religion.

But, in an astonishing move, Tom is thought to be reconsidering his links to Scientology after 20 years with the church.

Sources close to the star claim if he cuts his ties he may even win back former Dawson’s Creek actress Katie and see more of his daughter.

The source close to the three-times divorced Top Gun star said: “Now he’s lost the most precious thing in his life, he sees that his Scientology beliefs may not have hurt his box office but have ended not one but two marriages.

“It was a terrifying and rude awakening for Tom when Katie served him with divorce papers. He’s used to feeling undefeatable and untouchable. When he lost Katie he felt a failure.”

Tom became a Scientologist in 1990 when he was married to his first wife, Mimi Rogers, 56.

The end of his second marriage to actress Nicole Kidman, 45, was also blamed on the religion.

The friend said: “He has lost Nicole and now his wife and daughter. He has always used the Scientology techniques but he has now realised they don’t work in marriage.”

Cruise’s close friendship with David Miscavige, the leader of the church, has also suffered.

The pal said: “Tom and David have been attached at the hip but this relationship has deteriorated and that, along with the loss of Katie and Suri, is forcing him to question his role in the church.

“He hasn’t lost faith completely but he is blaming Scientology for what has happened.”

Tom and Katie, nicknamed TomKat, seemed the perfect Hollywood family until the actress served divorce papers on her husband by fax in June.

In August they were officially divorced by a New York judge after six years of marriage. Katie cited irreconcilable differences for the split and requested sole legal custody and primary residential care of Suri.

A pre-nup agreement entitled her to $3million (£1.9million) for each year they had been married to a maximum of $33million (£20.5million) after 11 years, as well as a substantial amount of property that Cruise owns. Tom also gives Katie $400,000 (£250,000) a year for Suri’s medical and dental insurance, plus education fees and other extracurricular expenses.

Following the split Cruise has spent most of his time filming his new action movie Oblivion at various locations across Europe. Meanwhile Suri has been photographed in New York with Katie eating ice cream, something he reportedly banned her from doing.

It had been assumed Tom would immerse himself in the religion but a source within the organisation – whose global headquarters are in East Grinstead, West Sussex – claims Tom no longer wants to be the “face” of Scientology. Along with A-list stars such as John Travolta and Kirstie Alley, Cruise is one the religion’s most high-profile members. But he’s now trying to reduce his involvement with publicising the beliefs.

The source said: “Tom is no longer volunteering to be the public poster boy for Scientology. You’ll see he is seriously calming that down, he will head up the annual fundraisers and awards show but that’s in-house.

“In the outside world, Tom will not be promoting the religion, he is distancing himself.

“Many believe he is pulling away because he thinks it was Scientology that split him and Katie up.” The break down of his friendship with Miscavige is just as crucial in his decision to distance himself from the church.

David, 52, has been involved in the religion since he was just 11 and was an assistant to its founder L. Ron Hubbard. Miscavige announced Hubbard’s death in 1986.

Until his split from Katie, Cruise was said to worship David “like a God” and their intense friendship has been blamed by some as the reason for TomKat’s marriage ending.

Miscavige, Tom’s best man when he wed Katie near Rome, has been mocked as Tom’s “manwife”. They have been seen wearing matching black silk shirts and have often given each other expensive gifts. On one occasion David bought Tom an aircraft hangar for his private jet.

But today sources within Scientology said Tom hasn’t been seen at the services or Sunday brunch in months. The source said he has told friends if he were no longer a Scientologist he and Katie could live happily ever after.

He is understood to be using “go-betweens” to tip her off that he is disillusioned with his faith.

The source said: “If Tom truly leaves, Katie would reconsider. She was in love with Tom, he was her childhood crush, it took a lot of strength to break free. But now she has peace of mind but no love.”

She may have Suri at her side and her mum Kathleen and dad Martin living nearby but her friends say she is growing fed up with the less glamorous lifestyle she now leads.

One said: “She had it all before, and now she’s alone in what she sees as rainy, dreary Manhattan with very little to do.

“She did get involved in the recent New York fashion week but found it gruelling and she has lost so much of the support she once had.”

This is a typical example of what the media are running with today.

Tom Cruise Leaving Scientology? Wants Katie Holmes, Daughter Suri Cruise Back

By Staff
Oct 15, 2012

 Is Tom Cruise leaving Scientology?

The 50-year old actor is reportedly desperate to get his ex-wife Katie Holmes back and he wants daughter Suri Cruise back in his life full-time and is willing to toss aside Scientology if that is what it takes.

The 'Mission: Impossible' actor – whose six-year marriage to the 33-year-old brunette ended in August – is said to be reconsidering his connections to Scientology after 20 years with the church because the 50-year-old star, who was married to Nicole Kidman from 1990 until 2001, felt "a failure" following his latest split.

A source told The People newspaper: "Now he’s lost the most precious thing in his life, he sees that his Scientology beliefs may not have hurt his box office but have ended not one but two marriages.

“It was a terrifying and rude awakening for Tom when Katie served him with divorce papers. He’s used to feeling undefeatable and untouchable. When he lost Katie he felt a failure.”

Tom – who has six-year-old daughter Suri with Katie – is "distancing himself" from the religion and insiders revealed he hasn't been seen at the services or Sunday brunch for months.

The source added: "He has lost Nicole and now his wife and daughter. He has always used the Scientology techniques but he has now realised they don’t work in marriage.

"Tom is no longer volunteering to be the public poster boy for Scientology. You’ll see he is seriously calming that down, he will head up the annual fundraisers and awards show but that’s in-house.

“In the outside world, Tom will not be promoting the religion, he is distancing himself.

“Many believe he is pulling away because he thinks it was Scientology that split him and Katie up.”

Should Tom cut all ties with Scientology then insiders believe Katie would consider reconciling her relationship with him.

The source explained: "If Tom truly leaves, Katie would reconsider. She was in love with Tom, he was her childhood crush, it took a lot of strength to break free. But now she has peace of mind but no love.”

                                        THE DAILY MAIL

Too little, too late? Tom Cruise could be set to leave Church of Scientology in bid to win back Katie Holmes

He's one of the most high profile supporters of controversial religion Scientology, but A-lister Tom Cruise could be leaving the church in a bid to win back his ex-wife.

When the couple announced their separation earlier this year, the religion was widely acknowledged to be one of the main catalysts behind it.

Now sources close to the actor have revealed that he might be becoming disillusioned with the church that has helped to destroy his marriage.

Are Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes Back Together If He Gives Up Scientology?

Should the title instead have been, “Is Katie Holmes stupid”? Would she give up everything she’s accomplished and the kick ass reputation she’s created in this short period of time just because Tom Cruise gives up Scientology – assuming he ever would do that? I’d like to think the answer was Ah, hells to the no.

But as we’ve witnessed this summer, Katie Holmes is nothing if not unpredictable.

“Katie is a sucker for the big romantic gesture,” a friend told Grazia magazine. “Tom swept her off her feet the first time around, and if he goes ahead and leaves Scientology for her, that would be seriously tough for her to resist. The religion is the biggest thing in his life. If he left that behind for her, it would be immense,” the source continued. “But it seems that may be what he’s talking about doing. He misses Suri like crazy.”

He misses Suri so much? Is that why he hasn’t seen the kid in two months? Regardless, what’s more believable – Katie taking Tom back or Tom giving up Scientology? Trick question! There’s no way either could happen! You’ve got to have balls of steel if you’d first convince the world your husband is crazy and then go against public opinion and take him back.

But let’s say he wasn’t crazy. Let’s say Tom actually did renounce Scientology. Then is it OK to reconcile? Tom is Maverick after all. Surely Maverick could get a second chance in our hearts if he wasn’t bat sh-t crazy. I’d have to give the green light on that. Think of the headlines. Katie Saves Tom! Katie Helps Tom See The Light! Tom’s beaten employees would cry tears of joy at Katie’s feet!

I’m just saying… if the fashion line or the acting doesn’t work out… it could be a good thing. But, again, this source is probably for shit. There’s no way Tom’s quitting Scientology. He is Scientology. That would be one existential crisis and I’m not sure I’d want to deal with that if I were Katie. Still… to be the woman who stole Scientology’s greatest follower would be massive. The Catholic Church has canonized people for much less.

Is this Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes back together story valid or is it wishful thinking? If Katie and Suri could have driven Tom away from Scientology, don’t you think it would have happened already?

Is Tom Cruise Trying To Lure Katie Holmes Back With Scientology Posters: Creepy?

Talk about an interesting piece of gossip for a Monday morning, right? According to Page Six, it looks like Tom Cruise might be missing his family and is trying to lure back ex-wife Katie Holmes back into his arms via a few Scientology posters at her Subway stop. The paper is reporting that there are about three Scientology posters mysteriously plastered on the walls of Katie’s New York City subway stop and strangely enough they are only there. So, is Tom trying to send her a message?

Here’s what we’re reading:

Katie, look out behind you! After escaping her marriage to Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes has been publicly showing us that she’s just a normal single mom in the city, even hopping on the subway at West 23rd Street this month. But Chelsea spies tell us that at the very same station where Katie hopped the E train, a series of posters has gone up advertising Cruise’s favorite religion, Scientology. “Searching for answers to life?” the poster says above a hunky Cruise lookalike staring at the Empire State Building from a balcony. “Scientology. Know yourself. Know life,” the poster says. A source told us that the poster campaign does appear in other subway stations, too, but, “at all the hundreds of stations in New York, this is the one where three Scientology posters went up.”

So is this creepy? Yes, absolutely. But on the other hand, it looks like Tom is really missing Katie and their daughter Suri Cruise and is trying to get them back without having to leave his sacred religion. Something tells me that those posters get washed away with Hurricane Sandy in the next few hours, so you’re good, Katie.

What do you guys think?

Katie Holmes Embarrassed by "Free Katie" T-shirts
By AHLAN! REPORTER

    Tuesday, 30 October 2012

Katie Holmes was at dinner with daughter Suri when she came face-to-face with Halloween revellers wearing ''Free Katie'' and ''Save Suri'' T-shirts

Katie Holmes had an embarrassing encounter with a diner wearing a ''Free Katie'' T-shirt in a restaurant. The 33-year-old actress and her daughter Suri, six, sat down to enjoy a quiet dinner at Mr Chow Tribeca, in New York City, on 27 October next to a group of Halloween revellers, who were wearing the comedy T-shirt and another shirt which read ''Save Suri''.

The slogan emblazoned clothes are references to the campaign that was started when Katie was still married to Scientologist Tom Cruise - who she divorced in July - urging her to leave the actor.

Another member of the party was dressed as a young Tom from Top Gun, but when they spotted who was on the next table they covered up their T-shirts.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: ''When they sat down, they exchanged an awkward glance with Katie, but she kept her cool and didn't say anything. The embarrassed Halloween crew quickly covered up the costumes before Suri got a chance to take a look.''

It was recently claimed Katie is getting ready to date again following her separation from Tom, 50, and her dad Martin intends to help her find a new guy.

Tom Cruise lawsuit could open his private life

IT can be true in medicine and Tom Cruise may find it’s true in law: Sometimes, the cure is worse than the disease. The Top Gun and Mission: Impossible star filed a $50-million defamation lawsuit on Wednesday against the publishers of Life & Style Weekly and In Touch magazines for twice alleging the actor had “abandoned” his daughter Suri.

But as people familiar with litigation know, Cruise runs the risk of turning his private life into a very open book. To prove that the tabloid’s allegations were false and defamatory, Cruise may have to answer any number of questions, under oath, about himself and his parenting. He might even be asked about his past relationship with ex-wife Nicole Kidman and the children from that marriage, as well as his religious beliefs, according to libel and defamation lawyers not involved in the case.

“Plaintiffs who initiate actions like this have to go in with their eyes wide open because it may not be a very pleasant experience,” said Charles L. Babcock, a Houston attorney who specializes in defending media companies in First Amendment cases. Cruise earlier this year narrowly avoided seeing a court case open a window into his marriage. When Katie Holmes filed for divorce in June, their split had the potential to expose the couple’s finances, their pre-nuptial agreement and their custody arrangements, among other things.

But the couple settled the split privately, with no paper trail. A source with knowledge of the case said at the time that the settlement was made so that none of the terms would be contained in publicly available documents, a practice that is fairly common in such cases.

As part of their defense in the new defamation case, lawyers for the magazine can (and doubtlessly will) seek to depose Cruise, and in addition to his live questioning under penalty of perjury could also ask to depose ex-wife Holmes, who is six-year-old Suri’s mother. What’s more, Cruise and Holmes could be asked to produce documents and answer written questions, called interrogatories, about Cruise’s relationship with his daughter and how much time they spent together, the lawyers said.

“What a suit of this type opens up is the entirety of the relationship between Cruise and Suri,” said Donald Zachary, a veteran Los Angeles media lawyer. “They can go into every visit he’s ever had with her.” But Cruise could also seek information from the magazines to prove they knowingly published false information about him and his daughter.

The magazine, which has declined to comment on the litigation, could also file a motion against Cruise, claiming that his lawsuit seeks to muzzle free speech. Known as an anti-SLAAP motion, the tactic has been used against people such as Barbra Streisand, who unsuccessfully sued the California Coastal Records Project for invading her privacy by publishing an aerial photo of her Malibu home. Plaintiffs who lose anti-SLAAP motions can be forced to pay the defendants’ legal expenses. In filing his suit, Cruise lawyer Bert Fields issued a statement saying, “Tom is a caring father who dearly loves Suri. To say he has ‘abandoned’ her is a vicious lie. To say it in lurid headlines with a tearful picture of Suri is reprehensible.”

To prove that the articles or headlines were in fact defamatory, or to show that the publications are liable for what’s known as “false light invasion of privacy,” Fields must show that they not only were false but also caused harm to Cruise’s profession or his reputation.

And that could create another legal thicket for Cruise, the lawyers said. “There’s a real question about whether saying he has abandoned his child really hurts his reputation,” Zachary said. “If the question becomes, ‘Does this hurt his reputation?,’ that could open him up to very embarrassing questions about what his reputation really is.” Those queries could include a look into his controversial membership in the Church of Scientology.

Babcock added that if Cruise were to argue that the stories and headlines caused him mental anguish, the actor’s medical records could become part of the case, and the defense lawyers could even order their own medical examination of Cruise.

The suit was filed in US District Court in Los Angeles. At issue is Life & Style’s July 30 cover, which had the headline, “Suri in Tears, Abandoned by Her Dad,” accompanied by a picture of the girl crying.

“...[D]efendants have demonstrated that they have no interest in the truth, and will stop at nothing to push the sales of their tabloids, even if this means exploiting a defenseless six year old child on their cover,” the lawsuit, alleging defamation and false light invasion of privacy, says. “They are wholly unconcerned about the truth of what they publish or the harm it causes. Indeed, the more hurt and embarrassment they falsely and maliciously cause their victims, the more money they make.”

“Tom doesn’t go around suing people,” Fields said in the statement. “He’s not a litigious guy. But when these sleaze peddlers try to make money with disgusting lies about his relationship with his child, you bet he’s going to sue.”

Fields, who had sent Life & Style and In Touch two letters prior to the litigation asking the magazines to immediately retract the articles at issue, did not respond immediately to comment further on Thursday.

If Cruise wins the lawsuit, Fields has promised, the money would be donated to charity.
