Kabbalah Center sued for fraud by former members..

Their fundraising schemes are similar to Scientology... "give money until it hurts in order to receive the light" (gain favor with cult leaders).

Kabbalah Centre accused of misusing more than $1 million in donations: Suits allege the spiritual organization pressured donors to 'give money until it hurts' for projects that were never carried out.

Making their 4th trip to protest the Academy Awards this year. Missing from the clan this year will be Megan Phelps-Roper & her sister, Grace, who finally woke up to the hateful nonsense & walked away from their family.. which now counts them among the rest of us that will burn in Hell.

Jonestown survivor Deborah Layton.similarities between People's Temple & Scientology

Deborah Layton was one of several family members that joined the People's Temple & were coerced to follow the pack to Jonestown. She managed to escape. Her brother, Larry, a Jones' loyalist pretended to be a defector & later shot several defectors on a plane trying to flee from a nearby airstrip. Larry Layton served 18 years in federal prison.

Recently, Deborah started a thread on 'Reddit' where she answered many questions about the cult mentality in People's Temple, some facts about life in Jonestown & how the cult mentality in People's Temple is very similar to that in Scientology. In fact, Jim Jones had read L. Ron Hubbard's books.

International experts meet in London to discuss “UNDUE INFLUENCE” of extremist groups

A group of international experts will come together in London on the weekend of August 22-24, 2014 to address some of the major concerns relating to the undue influence of extremist groups and cults. Scientology, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and Islamic extremists are just some of the groups that will be considered. The context of their discussions will be the impact these groups have and the control they are able to maintain over people’s lives. This is an invitation only meeting. The meeting/workshop led by Steve Hassan - Freedomofmind.com will be recorded and the information will be shared with a wider audience at a later date.  One aim of the workshop is to enable mental health professionals to gain a better understanding of the impact on people’s lives of “undue influence” by extremist groups and cults......

Vote all you want. The secret government won’t change.                  The big picture

The people we elect aren’t the ones calling the shots, says Tufts University’s Michael Glennon

"The voters who put Barack Obama in office expected some big changes. From the NSA’s warrantless wiretapping to Guantanamo Bay to the Patriot Act, candidate Obama was a defender of civil liberties and privacy, promising a dramatically different approach from his predecessor.

But six years into his administration, the Obama version of national security looks almost indistinguishable from the one he inherited. Guantanamo Bay remains open. The NSA has, if anything, become more aggressive in monitoring Americans. Drone strikes have escalated. Most recently it was reported that the same president who won a Nobel Prize in part for promoting nuclear disarmament is spending up to $1 trillion modernizing and revitalizing America’s nuclear weapons.

Why did the face in the Oval Office change but the policies remain the same? Critics tend to focus on Obama himself, a leader who perhaps has shifted with politics to take a harder line. But Tufts University political scientist Michael J. Glennon has a more pessimistic answer: Obama couldn’t have changed policies much even if he tried.

Though it’s a bedrock American principle that citizens can steer their own government by electing new officials, Glennon suggests that in practice, much of our government no longer works that way. In a new book, “National Security and Double Government,” he catalogs the ways that the defense and national security apparatus is effectively self-governing, with virtually no accountability, transparency, or checks and balances of any kind. He uses the term “double government”: There’s the one we elect, and then there’s the one behind it, steering huge swaths of policy almost unchecked. Elected officials end up serving as mere cover for the real decisions made by the bureaucracy."

Oppressive Rules of the Twelve Tribes Community

Posted on June 13, 2015 by RobRobinson

Written by an ex member.

1. The community member is not allowed to think for him/herself. In the cult you are expected to just blindly follow what the leaders (“shepherds”) say and all of the members do.

I asked a leader once if they ever agree to disagree but love each other anyway, and he said “no.” Also, they don’t believe they can live in peace with other religions, even Christian ones. Two shepherds stated this and that everyone in the world would have to follow them and their theology. This is crazy since most of their communities are in countries that allow freedom of religion where people from different religions and beliefs live in peace with each other.

I asked them, “If I have different beliefs from you, could I stay here and we can just love each other anyway?” They responded “No.” They teach “You must be saved from your false beliefs.” This means that I’m not allowed to hold any personal beliefs.
I was also informed many times, “You must relinquish all of your opinions.” It’s Elbert’s way or the highway on everything.....

JW Podcast S02E01 - Gone Clear

Have you ever wondered just how similar the Jehovah's Witnesses are to the Scientologists? In episode 1 of season 2, we interview a former Scientologist, Chris Shelton. Chris lifts the lid on being raised as a Scientologist and the similarities are quite staggering!
